The Glyphs 5 – Saerk! That’s a Lot of Gánc

Symbol of the sewer Tunnel from The Glyphs

The Glyphs is a multiple-choice game where you control the fate (and demise) of a gong farmer, as they explore the sewers beneath the Ancient City. Just choose an option from the poll below, and the most popular option will decide what happens next. I’ll put out one of these every week.

New here? Check out Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4.

You give Gan a wave, and leap onto the mound. Mister Claw and Gan exit along one of the side tunnels, leaving you alone.

You rake along the far side, attempting to break up the refuse. It’s thick, like turf, reinforced with sticks, straw and whatever has disgorged from the sewers above. As it breaks apart the detritus, you manoeuvre it into the flow of the central duct.

However, it’s slow-going. After about a quarter of an hour, you’ve only cleared a small part of the mound. You’re tired and desperately want to finish, so you can sleep. It’s been a long night.

Then something catches your eye. Just above the left duct, there is a symbol embossed upon one of the bricks. It’s old, and worn, and you have difficulty trying to work out what it actually is. There is also some writing around it, but it has abraded away to almost nothing.

What do you do?

  • Nudge the symbol with your rake? (100%, 1 Votes)
  • Ignore it, and keep raking? (0%, 0 Votes)
  • Lean out to gain a better view? (0%, 0 Votes)
  • Give up, and head out of the sewers? (0%, 0 Votes)
